It’s Good to Give Thanks

Are you thankful for God’s goodness in your life? Even if circumstances are hard, and evil seems to flourish… are there still blessings? Is there still joy and hope for the future?

God sees. Nothing escapes His notice. His thoughts… His ways are so deep that it’s hard for us to see what He’s up to, but we can rest assured that He is our rock.

Psalm 92 reminds us of these truths, and I’m also reminded to not just know, but to actually express… to declare His steadfast love in the morning… to not just be thankful, but to GIVE thanks to Him and sing His praises.

I’m thankful for my family. For their current level of health, which I never want to take for granted. And for any desire to know and love God. I’m thankful for my church family – a people who express God’s worth in corporate worship, who connect and then build upon those friendships in various small group settings, and for the continual daily worship of humble service to one another with a desire to see the gospel flourish through generous gifts and prayers to our brothers and sisters in other parts of this valley, and world. Thank you, God. You are good

Psalm 92:1–4
A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath.
[1] It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
[2] to declare your steadfast love in the morning,
and your faithfulness by night,
[3] to the music of the lute and the harp,
to the melody of the lyre.
[4] For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work;
at the works of your hands I sing for joy. (ESV)
